In 2014, as part of her exhibition at GSS 'Journal of Bouba/Kika', GSS Fabrication worked alongside the artist Haegue Yang to fabricate a kinetic sculpture where by the blinds would subtly twist in accordance with a choreographed programme.
To conduct the twisting of the blinds it was necessary to develop a bespoke telescopic drive system that could house the electric motor and still blend in with its hard-edged industrial appearance. Due to the unique and exacting nature of this sculpture most of the components in this piece had to be individually machined and powder coated.
