ARTWORK ‘The Artist’

YEAR 2014

In 2014, GSS Fabrication was approached by David Shrigley to help create a prototype of a moving, drawing hand. Using an Arduino, a protoboard and sensors, a moving prototype was made to help realise the logistics of the work.

This was then later developed by Shrigley into ‘The Artist’, a kinetic sculptural work in which a head with pencils in its nose moves around a large sheet of paper.
